Fundraise and Openings

Fundraise – Thanks to everyone who has signed up, we’ve raised £199k so far from 140 founders and it’s great to have you with us. This is not quite our £250k target though and so we’ve extended the offer until the end of August. We’d like to make (and maybe even break) this target by the end of the month if we can. Please think about sharing this offer with your friends and colleagues and especially anyone who may become a Town regular.
Lounge fit-out – We are cracking on with this and have finally settled on a design.
Lounge name – We don’t have a name for the lounge yet but we think it should probably have one. There’s the usual £5 prize for any suggestions we use but… WARNING… there is a £5 fine for anyone suggesting ‘Downtown’. 🤓
Lounge events – We have some events planned for the lounge and PDRs in September and we expect to be able to take bookings from 01 October but nothing confirmed yet. We should have an events pack including pricing ready to share in the next couple of weeks, in case you were planning to use some of your credit in one of the two PDRs or for a larger event, and especially Christmas.
Lounge Launch Party – We don’t have a date for this yet but you will be invited to one or more of our opening parties and be the first to see the finished (or near finished) space.
Fitzrovia Restaurant – Things are moving along quickly with the fit out at 1 Pearson Square, our second restaurant & bar. We don’t have a name for this place either yet but we have penciled in some friends & family dates. These things almost always change but we are planning five practice services on 25, 26 and 27 September with the official opening date on 01 October. We will confirm these dates closer to the time so you can book yourself in for a practice lunch or dinner on us.

A few people have asked how long this ‘double your money’ deal is running for? Answer: Until the end of August or sooner if we get to the £250k we’re hoping to raise. Of course, your credit lasts until you use it. If you want to top up your card at any time before this, please email us - founders@town.restaurant and we’ll send you the link.

Just a reminder that, although your Town Card is good for use as credit against all your food and drink at Town (as well as our new Fitzrovia restaurant opening in September), our team would appreciate it if you paid the service charge in the usual way and credit/debit card is always best. Thank you.

How do I make bookings from now on?
Please continue to make bookings through our website in the usual way and only use WhatsApp to request a booking if Open Table shows that we are fully booked.
We have had a very busy opening few weeks, thanks to some fantastic reviews and a great response generally. As a result, we are already pretty much fully booked for most evenings for the next few weeks but please try through Open Table first.
If that fails and you need to try WhatsApp, please tell us the date, the number of people you want to book for and a range of times that would work, eg - 17:30-19:00 or 20:00 to 21:30.
We are operating priority booking for Town Founders only and we can’t guarantee a particular booking or a specific time or table but, if we have space or can squeeze you in, nobody will have better access to a table at Town than you. Not even Stevie’s wife!
This number is for use by Town Founders only and should not be shared with anyone else please. We have saved all the names and numbers of our Founders, and if a number is not recognised, we won’t be able to help.
The phone will be manned from 10:00-10:00 Mon-Sat and from 10:00-16:00 on Sundays.
